Our ideal candidate is an experienced and innovative “Full Stack Web Developer/Tutor” who is dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential. As an Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping and guiding the learning experience of the next generation of web developers which will be a mixture of small group trainings, bootcamps, and personalized coaching.

What You’ll Do:

• Identify and propose emerging technologies for use in curriculum, assessment, and evaluation.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that students understand the key concepts and skills taught in the curriculum and have the support they need to successfully complete their projects.
• Conduct regular student reviews and critiques, providing valuable feedback to support their progress and success.
• Support hybrid learning as needed using Zoom, Google Workspace, Meetup Conference Cameras, and mobile displays.
• Encourage and motivate students as they navigate the challenges of learning a new skill set, empowering them to achieve their goals
• Facilitation and training within area of competence
• Provide prompt and meaningful feedback to students on their progress, helping them to continuously improve their skills
• Take ownership of curriculum, related Github repositories, and internal software projects, constantly improving and auditing them to ensure excellence and innovation
• Provide strategic direction in the implementation of education programs on how to have an edge over competitors.
• Participate in professional development training, so you stay fresh!

What You’ll Need:

• Proven work experience in web programming
• Expertise in the latest technologies and tools related to web development, including JavaScript, React.js, MongoDB, Express.js, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3. Knowledge of any of Java, Python or PHP is an added advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, and testing methodologies
• Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools such as Jira or Trello
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to students with varying levels of experience
• Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
• Flexible, and able to respond and adapt to different learning styles and personalities
• Passionate about teaching both online and classroom (during bootcamps)
• Must have a laptop, microphone / headset, and reliable internet access.
• Knowledge of CMS systems like Webflow, Wordpress, TutorLMS would be advantageous
